'Verbal communication is like stabbing myself in the groin with a pitchfork, and writing feels as easy as watching a marshmallow turn brown in the campfire.' Don't know if I've ever read a statement I can relate to more. That verbal communication has managed to become less stabby in recent years, more using the other end of the pitchfork.

That’s awesome to read. It is a long, gradual practice of making yourself uncomfortable on purpose. I remember throwing up from anxiety before going out around 2016, but now I often host interviews with other artists. Just repeated running through the coals in bare feet.

Thanks. You have, too. I read your wrap-ups and commentary about submissions and conferences and am always thinking, "Dang, he's got a drive going." If you wanna interview anyone, you'll get there.
