Mr Delp, this tale, which I selected from your list of posts at random after spotting one of your Notes randomly placed in my feed, is in a word- enchanting. There are a couple of mechanical foibles, but such is true of even the most experienced storyteller's efforts.
What you have constructed here is superb, and puts me in mind of something along the lines of "Carnival Row" or "Grimm", if either show had actually been handled with greater care for their mystical/magical cast and characters. You have managed to make me care about a creature whose mythology I normally dismiss with a dry snort.
Joshua, I consider "enchanting" to be such a wonderful compliment. Thank you for your kind words. Mechanics and structure are something I will probably always toil over with these stories, but evoking a sense of emotionally honest magic makes my heart thrum. I look forward to sharing more.

Bravo, sir. Do carry on.
